- What are the ingredients?
- The ingredients are fish, salt,malt sugar, and water. No artificial preservatives or additives are used.
- Does the product contain any allergens?
- The fish used in our surimi may have consumed crustaceans such as shrimp or crab, so individuals with shellfish allergies should exercise caution.
- Is your surimi gluten-free?
- Yes, our surimi is gluten-free and does not contain wheat or other gluten-based ingredients.
- Is your surimi halal or kosher?
- Our product does not contain pork, alcohol, or other restricted ingredients. However, it is not officially certified as halal or kosher.
- Does the product contain MSG or artificial additives?
- No, our surimi is free from MSG, preservatives, and artificial colorings.
Storage & Shelf Life
- How should I store the product?
- Keep the product refrigerated at 1℃–10℃ (34°F–50°F) and use it by the expiration date. The shelf life is one year from the production date, but the time remaining from the arrival date may vary depending on the shipping duration.
- Can I freeze Fish Cake Mix?
- Yes, our Fish Cake Mix can be frozen.
- How long does the product last after opening?
- Please use the entire contents immediately after opening.
Product Quality & Safety
- Is Fish Cake Mix made from wild-caught or farmed fish?
- Our Fish Cake Mix is made from wild-caught fish, carefully selected for quality and freshness.
- Is your Fish Cake Mix produced in a certified facility?
- Yes, our surimi is produced in a factory certified under both the EU HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and the US HACCP systems, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.
Preparation Tips
- Are there any ingredients I should avoid adding?
- Do not mix raw mushrooms or fruits into the fish paste, as they contain enzymes that break down proteins and prevent the paste from setting properly. Acidic liquids such as juice or vinegar, as well as acidic ingredients like tomatoes and lemons, will also interfere with the setting process.
- Is cooking necessary?
- Yes, the surimi (fish cake paste) is raw and must be fully cooked. Please heat it until the internal temperature reaches at least 75°C (167°F) before consuming.
- Can I store the surimi (fish cake paste) after mixing Fish Cake Mix and water?
- We do not recommend preparing the surimi in advance. The surimi will firm up over time, so please use it immediately after mixing the Fish Cake Mix with other ingredients
- Can I adjust the firmness by adding more Fish Cake Mix after the surimi (fish cake paste) is prepared?
- We do not recommend adding Fish Cake Mix after mixing, as it will not blend properly with water and will form lumps.
- What temperature water should I use?
- If mixing by hand, we recommend using water at 0–5°C (32–41°F). When using a food processor, we suggest using half room-temperature water and half ice for the total liquid amount.
- Can I rehydrate the mix with liquids other than water?
- Yes, you can use broth, milk, or soy milk instead of water. This will add new flavors, richness, and textures to your dish, allowing for more variety in your cooking.
- What equipment should I use for mixing?
- For large batches, we recommend using a food processor. For small batches, a spatula and mixing bowl are sufficient.

- Can I purchase from outside Japan?
- Yes, we ship from Japan. However, there are areas we may not be able to deliver to. Please contact us for details.
- How long does shipping take?
- Delivery times vary depending on the country or region. We will provide you with an estimated delivery date before you place your order.
- Can I choose the shipping method?
- The shipping method will be designated by us. We will inform you of the carrier along with the estimated delivery date.
- Can I track my order?
- Once the shipping carrier has been determined, we will provide you with tracking information.
- How much is the shipping fee?
- Shipping fees vary depending on the destination country and the weight of the package. We will provide a shipping quote before you place your order.
Customs & Taxes
- Do I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?
- Depending on your country’s customs regulations, you may be required to pay import duties or taxes. Please check with your local customs office for details.
- How do I pay customs duties if they apply?
- Any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer. These fees must be paid directly to the carrier upon delivery.

- What payment methods are available?
- We accept bank transfers. We will provide you with the necessary information, such as our SWIFT code.
Please note that the bank transfer fee is the responsibility of the purchaser.
